Dr. Douglas O Beischel

Dr. Beischel was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has three older sisters and a younger brother. His parents, sisters and their families reside in Calgary, and his brother and his family reside in Overland Park, Kansas.

Dr. Beischel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Western Ontario in 1987. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was conferred upon him from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1993.

Upon graduation, Drs. Vander Schaaf and Beischel started their dental practice in Scottsdale. The Doctors were married on December 31st, 1994 in St. Louis. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Lara Augusta and Liv Honora Julia and two sons, Lyndon Ross and Lars Rowan.

Dr. Beischel is the President of Arizona Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and has been served on the AzAGD Executive Panel for many years. He is a member of the Central Arizona Dental Association, the Arizona State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Beischel has undertaken postgraduate education and training in Burlingame, California with F.A.C.E., the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education and has received advanced training in oral conscious sedation through the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (D.O.C.S.).

Dr. Beischel has donated countless hours to children’s dental health. He is the Chief of Staff at John C. Lincoln Children’s Dental Clinic, which provides dental care for children of low income families.

Dr. Beischel enjoys his chosen profession as well as fly fishing, snow and water skiing, coaching his children's sports teams and is an avid golfer.
